| From January 2nd through 4th, we went on a winter retreat at Camp Rockfish. The theme of the retreat was Choose LIFE. LIFE represented our basic needs of Love and belonging; Influence; Power, competence and capability; Freedom of Choice; Enjoyment, fun and celebration. Dr. Hale was the teacher and did a great job. He incorporated the movie Spider Man to help us understand these concepts. We had campfires at which we sang praise songs. Also we had an etiquette lesson from Mr. Dan and a dance lesson from Mrs. Amy. Mrs. Elaine and Mr. Wayne were responsible for keeping us fed, and we appreciate all of the adults who helped at the retreat. It was an excellent experience and we would enjoy going back. |
